Dear Santa,

We know that you are a frequent reader of the Advanced Integrative Rehabilitation Blog, so we would like to make sure you are 100 percent healthy, because the holidays are here and there’s not a second-string Santa that we can pull off the bench if you get hurt. Specifically, Dr. Sniezak and the staff here at Advanced Integrative Rehabilitation want to make sure you are taking care of your back during this busy time of year. We’ve comprised three tips from Dr. Sniezek’s guide for avoiding back injuries, so you can head into the final preparations for your big night with a clean bill of health. We will follow-up with some helpful tips for the night you fly out with the reindeer, but for now, we’d like you to just make sure you doing the following to avoid experiencing back pain:

  1. When checking your list (and checking it twice) for who’s naughty and nice, please sit back into your chair so your spine is firmly supported.

  2. When you are talking to all the children of the world through that magical communication hub called “The Mall“, please use an ottoman or a foot rest, so your knees are level with, or slightly above, your hips.

  3. When you are at Santa’s Workshop and reading letters from the children, please stand up often and walk around the room to avoid sitting in the same position for too long (maybe you could check on the progress of the Advanced Integrative Rehabilitation staff’s gifts, because we know we have to be on the “nice” list). 🙂

Happy Holidays,

Advanced Integrative Rehabilitation Staff
